28 critical oilfield pipeline networks, together with their transport capacities and oil flow, are presented in China Petroleum Map 2012. The map grades pipelines with capacity less than 1 mtpa as ¡°regional-level¡± pipeline and those with capacity over 1 mtpa as ¡°backbone-level¡± pipeline. Basically, "regional level¡± pipeline is the export line of small-sized oilfield, while ¡°backbone level¡± pipeline originates from terminals of a couple regional-level pipelines or a large-size oilfield.
The "Backbone" of Ordos Oilfields: Built and operated by PetroChina Changqing Oilfield Company and Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group, the oilfield gathering and exporting pipeline networks here are mainly located in mountain area. Ordos basin¡¯s oil production is transorted via the networks to 8 refineries in Shaanxi, Gansu as well as Inner Mongolia.
